Special Adviser, Diversity, Singapore Exchange Limited
As Special Adviser at SGX, she champions the cause of board diversity and introduced sustainability reporting on a ‘comply or explain’ basis. She is also a Vice-Chair of the Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosure, set up by the Financial Stability Board at the request of the G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors.
Prior to the advisory role, she was the Chief of Regulation and Risk Management of the Singapore Exchange for 10 years.
Before joining the SGX, Lian Sim was at the Monetary Authority of Singapore in various roles including managing foreign reserves, responsibility for exchange rate and monetary policy and regulating the capital market.
Lian Sim serves on the boards of various charitable organisations. She was awarded the Public Administration Medal (Gold) at the Singapore National Day Honours (1994).
