Mr Simon Israel is Chairman of Singtel and Singapore Post.

He was an Executive Director and President of Temasek Holdings before retiring in July 2011. Prior to that, he was Chairman, Asia Pacific of the Danone Group, and President (Household and Personal Care) of Asia Pacific at Sara Lee Corporation.

He is currently a Director of Fonterra Co-operative Group Limited and Stewardship Asia Centre CLG Limited, and a Member of the Governing Board of Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy and Westpac Asia Advisory Board. Mr Israel was the Chairman of Asia Pacific Breweries, Asia Pacific Breweries Foundation and the Singapore Tourism Board. He was also formerly Director of CapitaLand, Fraser and Neave and Neptune Orient Lines. He was a member of the Diversity Action Committee (November 2014 – 2018).

Mr Israel was conferred Knight in the Legion of Honour by the French government in 2007 and awarded the Public Service Medal at the Singapore National Day Awards 2011.
