Ms Ong Ai Hua is Deputy Secretary (Family and Society) in the Ministry of Social and Family Development.
She was previously with Johnson & Johnson where she served as the Asia Pacific (APAC) business leader in Pharmaceuticals and MedTech for more than two decades based in Singapore, China and U.S.A.
A champion for talent, Ms Ong mentored many employees in the region and globally. She worked closely with the Asia-Pac Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) Council to develop a strategy that connected DEI to innovation and business growth.
As a strong advocate for women in leadership, Ms Ong mentors young adults from local universities and the Young Women’s Leadership Connection Mentorship Program. She is also the co-founder of a not-for-profit initiative, Asia Mentor Circle, to grow the next generation of healthcare leaders from the region.
She serves as a board director of the Communicable Diseases Agency, is a committed volunteer in the pet therapy programme and council member at Dover Park Hospice, and an advisory board member of Singapore Management University’s Lee Kong Chian School of Business.
