Mr Esa Masood is Deputy Secretary (Family & Partners) at the Ministry of Social and Family Development. He was previously Chief Executive of the Singapore Islamic Religious Council, or MUIS, from 2019 to 2021.

Between 2004 and 2017, Mr Esa served in several government agencies, including the Early Childhood Development Agency, Ministry of Education and Ministry of Trade and Industry.

He has served on the Boards of the ISEAS – Yusof Ishak Institute since January 2021 and has been a member of the National Wages Council since September 2021. He also serves on the Board of the National Council of Social Service.
